ARRESTING THE ARRESTERS
Then the king of Syria warred against Israel and took counsel with his servants, saying, in such and such a place shall be my camp. And the man of God sent unto the king of Israel, saying, Beware that thou pass not such a place; for thither the Syrians are come down. And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice. Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us is for the king of Israel? And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of lsrael the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber. And he said, Go and spy where he is, that I may send and fetch him And it was told him, saying, Behold, he is in Dothan. Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about. And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the LORD, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Alisha. And Alisha said unto them, This is not the way, neither is this the city: follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom ye seek. But he led them to Samaria. And it came to pass, when they were come into Samaria, that Elisha said, LORD, open the eyes of these men, that they may see. And the LORD opened their eyes, and they saw; and, behold, they were in the midst of Samaria. 2 Kings 6:8-20
FACTS TO NOTE
In the Bible passage above there are some few facts to be noted. These facts are:
- The secret of the enemy was revealed.
You need to pray that the secret of the enemy over your life be exposed.
- Satanic efforts were rendered fruitless.
You need to pray that your enemy be committed with useless assignments. You need to decree that the satanic efforts against your life be wasted.
- The satanic efforts were frustrated.
You need to speak frustration to every evil activities targeted against you.
- The detective activities of the Holy Spirit were able to break the backbone of the enemy.
- If you see any physical person antagonising you, there is always a spirit behind them.
The battle will be determined by spirit to spirit.
6. The prayer point of Elisha.
Elisha said unto God, smite them with blindness. When Bar Jesus was antagonizing Peter, Peter neither sang praises nor support Bar Jesus, he located the enemy and dealt with him.
Beloved, this world is a war zone and you need supernatural intelligence concerning the enemy’s position and the way they manoeuvre because the enemy is an intelligent creature.
THE ARRESTER
The Bible passage makes it crystal clear that the enemy came to arrest Elisha but Elisha arrested them. This means that the arrester was arrested.
Who are the arresters? The Bible says:
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Psalm 27:1-2
And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. Isaiah 49:26.
1. The arresters eat flesh and drink blood.
Life is in the blood and once the enemy is drinking your blood then your life will be wasted.
After an anti-cultism crusade in a University, many students rushed out to give their lives to Christ following an altar call. One of the students that stayed back wrote the names of those who gave their lives to Christ so that they could deal with them later.
However there was a particular lady who gave her life to Christ and she was more dangerous than they thought. After a week of deliverance, the lady confessed of her power which was in a pot filled with blood. Anytime she drank the blood she was filled with power. The blood in the pot was the blood of the victims she had killed and she had been drawing the blood since she was six years old and she had now turned twenty-three years old, meaning that she had been drawing people’s blood for seventeen years.
- Ancestral strongmen must be bound. The Bible says:
No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house. Mark 3:27
Ancestral strongmen must be bound. If you want to arrest the arrester, you must bind the strongmen
that would hinder you from getting your blessings. You need to give total submission to God if you genuinely want to arrest the arresters in your life. You need to follow the procedure of Elisha. Ask the Lord to open your eyes to know that those that are with you are more than those that are with them.
You need to pray blindness into the eye of the enemy. Pray frustration into the activities of the enemy and then you can arrest the arresters.
PRAYER POINTS
- Any power within and around me, that is hindering the manifestation of the power of God in my life, die, in the name of Jesus.
- All ye my adversaries, be clothed with shame and disgrace, in the name of Jesus.
- Every ancestral bondage, that is affecting my life negatively, die, in the name of Jesus.
- Every evil wind assigned to be blowing away my breakthroughs, die, in the name of Jesus.
- Every evil power assigned to be blowing away my breakthroughs, be crushed to pieces, in the name of Jesus.
- Every ancient iron gate that not want to let me go, be dismantled, in the name of Jesus.
